What this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Short version
We do not ask you to register, we do not sell data, and the only information you give us directly is whatever you type into the contact form. Everything else is the ordinary technical record any web server keeps.
What the contact form collects
Your name, your email address and your message. We use them to reply and for nothing else. Messages are kept for up to twelve months so we can follow up on a correction, and are then deleted. We do not add you to a mailing list; we have none.
Server logs
Our host records the usual: IP address, timestamp, the page requested, referring page and user agent. These exist for security and for diagnosing faults, are not used to build a profile of you, and are discarded on the host’s normal rotation.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Outbound links to operators pass through a redirect on this domain so that clicks can be counted; the operator you land on will set its own cookies under its own policy, which we do not control. If you use analytics-blocking tools, nothing on these pages will break.
Third parties
Fonts are served from this domain, not from a font CDN, so no request leaves the site to render a page. We embed no social widgets, no comment system and no chat tool.
Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a child has contacted us, write to us and we will delete the message.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write through the contact form and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears here.
