We rank 50 Australian online casinos, 30 games, 20 software studios and 13 payment methods, and we show the arithmetic behind every number.
What this site is
An independent comparison service. We are not a casino, we hold no money, we take no wagers and we settle no disputes. If something goes wrong with an account, the operator and its licensing body are the only parties who can act — nothing on this site creates any obligation on them.
How a score is built
Every casino gets one number out of ten. It is the plain average of 5 parts: catalogue depth, welcome offer, licence & record, player extras and payout speed. No part is weighted more heavily than another, because we have no evidence that would justify saying one matters twice as much as the next. Each part appears on the casino’s own page with the figures that produced it, so you can disagree with the weighting and still use the underlying facts.
Alongside the overall table there are 10 separate rankings, each answering one question — how fast the money leaves, how big the welcome offer is, who publishes a licence you can actually check. Those pages are ordered on the measurement itself rather than on a score, because a ten-point scale groups two dozen casinos into the same band and stops telling them apart.
Where the facts come from
Three sources, and we say which is which. Catalogue size, bonus wording, payment lists and the presence of demo play come from the operator’s own pages, captured and counted rather than read off a press release. Licence numbers, corporate ownership, regulator action and documented complaints come from external research. Everything else is marked as unknown.
We would rather print a gap than fill it. 12 of the 50 casinos publish a licence number that can be looked up; the rest name a jurisdiction or nothing at all, and we say so on their pages instead of awarding a neutral score. Four bonus figures were thrown out of the data entirely after we traced them to winners tables rather than offers.
What we do not publish
RTP percentages for individual games. Studios ship the same title in several builds and the operator picks which one to run, so a single figure quoted out of context is as likely to mislead as to inform. Where a casino states its build, that appears on the casino’s page.
Predictions. No ranking on this site forecasts what will happen to your money, and a high score is not a recommendation to deposit.
Who runs these casinos
The most useful single fact in our data is not any individual score: 34 of the 50 brands belong to just 13 operator groups, and two companies run eight sites each. Their sites genuinely differ — welcome packages run from four figures to five, catalogues from a few dozen games to several hundred — but moving between sister brands does not change the company you are dealing with. Every table row names the operator, and the home page carries a second table with one brand per company.
Corrections
If a fact here is wrong, write to us through the contact form. Tell us which page and what the correct figure is; we will check it against the source and amend or remove the claim. Offers and terms change constantly, and a page captured in October may be out of date by December.
